“Firstly, we must mention that our driver was exceptional. He was so lovely and his English was amazing. We absolutely cannot fault him for our experience. There are 2 main reasons for such a poor rating. The first is the price. This tour is so expensive and when we totalled up how much we spent during the day it was over S$400! This is more than we have spent on any day throughout our travels to Thailand, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. “Our driver was not so good at English, but we managed to communicate anyway. We had a guide in Polonnaruwa who was very good. He was very knowledgeable and was thorough. We could feel that he also was very interested in the place. We saw all the famous buildings/ruins and many more things. The lunch is a bit late, so maybe bring a little snack.”
